Hastings will burst into colour and celebration as the Blossom Festival brings to life the heart of spring with a full day of FREE events and experiences. From 10am, there’s music, movement, art, laughter and so much more for families of all shapes and ages.

Highlights you won’t want to miss:

Blossom Parade (1pm, Hastings CBD):

Celebrating 75 years, this year’s theme is Past, Present, Future. Marvel at vibrant floats, creative displays, and performances from schools, artists, community groups, everyone is part of the story.

Carnival Rides (10am–4pm, opposite Albert Square):

Enjoy thrills and chillers from Mahons Entertainment, including the dazzling Golden Wheel ferris wheel, the spinning Sizzler, and the topsy-turvy Fun Factory.

Family Fun Zone (Albert Square & Blossom Alley, 10am–4pm):

Bounce, slide, race through obstacle courses, hop on the Party Train Express, and don’t leave without a famous Rush Munro’s ice cream.

Face Painting (Warren St & Heretaunga St East):

Let the little ones become butterflies, superheroes—or anything their imagination can dream up.

The Hits Blossom Stage (Heretaunga St East, entrance to Blossom Alley):

Hosted by Adam Green from The Hits! You’ll catch an awesome line-up of live performances: youth dance crews, kapa haka, world class comedy, soul choirs, circus spectacle, and tribute bands. Bring your bean bags, your dancing shoes, and most importantly, your sense of wonder
